AGRIFAM Showcases at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo: Building AgriTech Links across ASEAN and Empowering Agriculture through Digital Intelligence


In November 2024, the General Secretary Xi Jinping announced at the 19th G20 Summit that "China will stay a committed host of the International Conference on Food Loss and Waste." To implement this initiative put forward by the General Secretary Xi Jinping, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, and the People's Government of Shandong Province jointly hosted the 2025 International Conference on Food Loss and Waste in Jinan, Shandong Province, from July 24 to 26, 2025.

From June 23 to 24, 2025, Nairobi, Kenya became the focal point of China-Africa agricultural technology cooperation as the "Africa-China Forum on Agri-tech and Industrial Cooperation" was successfully held here. This forum was jointly initiated by the Beijing Jingwa Agricultural Technology Innovation Center, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), and the Global Food Economy and Policy Research Institute of China Agricultural University, among other institutions, with the aim of deepening technological collaboration and jointly building a modern industrial ecosystem.

From June 12 to 15, 2025, the fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo was held in Changsha. Wang Yi, a Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda, Jeremiah Koung, Vice President of Liberia, and Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, attended and addressed the event. The expo brought together over 30,000 participants from 53 African countries, 11 international organizations, and more than 4,700 Chinese and African enterprises, business associations, and financial institutions. Under the theme "China and Africa in Joint Action, Pursuing Modernization," this year’s expo focused on implementing the "Ten Partnership Actions" for China and Africa to advance modernization together.

From April 27 to 29, 2025, the 11th China-Arab Business Conference and the 9th Investment Seminar of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Hainan Province, the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, was successfully held in Haikou, Hainan. Themed "Forging 'Five Cooperation frameworks' to Accelerate the Building of a China-Arab Community with a Shared Future," the conference held in-depth discussions on core topics such as technological innovation, financial cooperation, and industrial development.

On March 27, the 2025 International Rural Innovation & Development (IRID) Expo, co-hosted by the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Anhui International Chamber of Commerce, opened at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. As China’s first international expo focusing on the entire industrial chain of rural development both domestically and abroad, this expo aims to showcase cutting-edge technological achievements, high-tech products, and solutions that drive high-quality rural development.

The 6th China Grain Trading Conference opened in Wuhan, Hubei Province, on October 18. Under the theme of "Pooling Efforts for Grain Security, Promoting Development through Integrated Production and Marketing," the event brought together government representatives, industry experts, and grain enterprises from across China to jointly explore new pathways for high-quality development in the grain industry. Distinguished guests and renowned experts, including officials from the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, representatives from various provinces and cities, leading industry enterprises, and representatives from international grain organizations, engaged in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as food security, industrial innovation, and market trends, collectively envisioning the future development of the grain industry.

From September 20 to 23, the 2024 World Expo on Digital Agriculture (WEDA), hosted by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, took place at the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Under the theme of "Mobilize All Things Digitally, Innovate Agriculture Intelligently," this expo presented a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in international agricultural new-quality productive forces, covering sectors such as technical equipment, products and solutions, smart agricultural machinery, smart planting, smart fisheries, smart animal husbandry, and smart processing. Nearly 200 smart enterprises from home and abroad were present to showcase their latest technological achievements and practices in the digital transformation of agriculture and rural areas, sharing successful experiences in smart development.

At the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China paid a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan from July 2 to 4, 2024, and attended the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The "China (Xinjiang Bozhou)-Kazakhstan Agricultural Industry Exchange and Negotiation Conference", hosted by the Bortala Chamber of Commerce of the China Chamber of International Commerce and the Grain Union of Kazakhstan and organized by Agrifam Co., Ltd., opened on June 5, 2024, in Bole Museum. Over 70 Kazakh agricultural enterprises and more than 80 relevant enterprises from within and outside Xinjiang participated. Bayin Kexi, Deputy Party Secretary and Governor of Bozhou, and Du Yingkun, Deputy Governor, attended the event.

The Ten Thousand Cattle Farm Project in Yunlong County, Yunnan, jointly developed by Sinohydro Bureau 14 Co., Ltd., PowerChina Northwest Engineering Corporation Limited, and Agrifam Co., Ltd. for Dali Prefecture State-owned Capital Investment and Operation (Group) Co., Ltd., covers an area of 910 acres and is expected to produce approximately 200 tons of fresh milk daily when fully stocked.

The 24th Expodireto Cotrijal International Agribusiness Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Expodireto Cotrijal) was held from March 4th to 8th (local time) in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and was hosted by the state government of Rio Grande do Sul. As the largest Chinese enterprise in the international exhibition area, AGRIFAM made a splendid appearance at this Expodireto Cotrijal International Agribusiness Fair.
