AGRIFAM successfully hosts China-D.R. Congo Agricultural Innovation Seminar, jointly promoting food security and agricultural modernization.

On November 13, the "China-D.R. Congo Food Security and Modern Agricultural Development Innovation Seminar," hosted by AGRIFAM, was successfully held. His Excellency Mulumba, Director-General of the Strategic Reserves Authority of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, led a delegation to attend the event. Together with numerous Chinese experts and corporate representatives, they engaged in in-depth discussions on new pathways and innovative models for agricultural cooperation between China and the D.R. Congo.

Under the theme "Food Security, Technology Empowerment, and Shared Prosperity," the seminar highlighted that bilateral cooperation is accelerating its transition from conceptual consensus to practical action.

In his opening speech, Mr. Dai Jun, Chairman of AGRIFAM, emphasized, "Food security is the cornerstone of human development, and agricultural modernization is the engine for national progress. As comprehensive strategic cooperative partners, cooperation between China and the D.R. Congo in the agricultural sector not only concerns the well-being of the people of both countries but is also a key step in advancing the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future."

Mr. Dai Jun, Chairman of AGRIFAM, delivered a speech.

During the first agenda session, Director-General Mulumba systematically introduced the current status and development vision of agriculture in the D.R. Congo. Sun Hui, Chief Engineer and Researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, shared China's successful experience in agricultural modernization technologies and system development.

Subsequently, in the second agenda session, Xu Chengfa, International Marketing Director of AGRIFAM, elaborated on how to build an efficient and sustainable agricultural industry chain to support the D.R. Congo in achieving comprehensive upgrades from raw grain production to food consumption.

To further consolidate consensus, the seminar featured a high-level dialogue session. Director-General Mulumba, senior representatives of AGRIFAM, and multiple Chinese experts and corporate representatives engaged in practical exchanges on priority areas for agricultural development in the D.R. Congo and pathways for technology implementation.

High-level Dialogue Session Speakers' Remarks

During the dialogue, Mr. Dai Jun, Chairman of AGRIFAM, stated that the company could design and plan agricultural models tailored to local conditions in the D.R. Congo, focusing on the two core aspects of food security and food safety. The company will actively lay out plans around the agricultural industry chain, committed to integrating global high-quality resources, promoting deep convergence across the industry chain, and building a modern agricultural system that integrates circulation, value, smart, and green chains.

Mr. Wang Gui’an, Vice President of AGRIFAM, further emphasized that technological innovation and talent cultivation are the core drivers of sustainable agricultural development. He noted that AGRIFAM has trained over 300 professional technicians for 44 developing countries, laying a solid talent foundation for local agricultural modernization.

As a significant outcome of the seminar, AGRIFAM and the Strategic Reserves Authority of the D.R. Congo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the event, marking a crucial step forward in their agricultural cooperation.

This seminar was not only a convergence of wisdom but also an important milestone in deepening agricultural cooperation between China and the D.R. Congo. Moving forward, AGRIFAM will continue to support the D.R. Congo and other African countries in exploring agricultural modernization pathways suited to their national conditions. AGRIFAM looks forward to joining hands with the D.R. Congo to write a new chapter of shared progress in agricultural modernization and human well-being!
